I grew up in the vibrant, tightly woven neighborhoods of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where resilience, faith, and community were more than values; they were a way of life. As the child of an interracial couple and one of four siblings, I was surrounded by a mosaic of stories, cultures, and perspectives that taught me the power of connection and the strength found in diversity.
From an early age, I was captivated by how things work—whether in science, sport, or the social fabric around me. Naturally, I became a tinkerer: breaking things down to their base parts and rebuilding them with new functions and possibilities. Swimming and soccer taught me rhythm, teamwork, and discipline. My curiosity for science and technology revealed patterns of order and potential. Together, these experiences sparked a lifelong fascination not only with systems and structure but also with the people who bring them to life.
I learned that growth—personal, professional, or communal—is rarely linear. It’s cultivated through care, tension, and intentional transformation. Living at the intersections of identity—biracial, neurodivergent, gay, and white-passing—taught me to see the world in layers, to listen deeply, and to value authenticity as both compass and bridge. My empathy became a form of inquiry; my curiosity became a way of honoring complexity.
Over time, these threads evolved into a philosophy of work rooted in people, purpose, and possibility. Whether through organizational development, hospitality, real estate, or creative expression, my purpose remains the same: to understand how things—and people—work together and to design spaces where they can flourish.
The VYRTX Group, founded by Michael P. Warren II, was established on the belief that transformation is a living process. Each branch of our ecosystem serves as a different expression of that same commitment and a concept that I am personally passionate about. Together, they form an interconnected garden of ventures, all dedicated to nurturing growth, cultivating belonging, and advancing excellence through intentional design.
At its core, VYRTX is not just a company—it’s a practice of care and the embodiment of my life. A company built on curiosity, compassion, and courage. A collective rooted in the simple, enduring truth that when people thrive, everything else follows.
A data-driven organizational development strategist with over seven years of experience, Michael brings a unique blend of systems thinking, operational excellence, and inclusive leadership to his work. From developing the initial global logistics operations at SpoiledChild (Oddity Tech Ltd: ODD) to mentoring Penn students in entrepreneurial leadership, he’s cultivated high-performing cultures rooted in trust, transparency, and continuous improvement.
In addition to his for-profit experience, he also served as President of the Student-Run Business Association, a global network representing thousands of student-led ventures and the organizations that support them, he led national growth initiatives, supported student CEOs & Founders, and championed sustainable leadership through strategic programming and partnerships.
Michael holds an MS in Organizational Dynamics, with a focus on leading culture and organizational change, and a BA in Sociology with a concentration in Law & Society, both degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. He’s committed to co-creating spaces where innovation thrives and individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered.
When not building systems for growth, you’ll likely find Michael exploring Philadelphia’s restaurant scene or hiking Wissahickon Valley Park with his dogs, Nola and Gio!
